Nigh Chaparral was started in Stockholm in the aughts by Jason Breeden (Susurrus Station, Oscilero), Oskar Moberg (Thulebasen) and Sara Johanne (Pikara), tinted by a nostalgia for an imaginary America. It has continued in a similar spirit with others, including Andre Coberly (Night Mechanic), Mae Starr, Monte Trent Allen, Gilles (Rllrbll), and Galen Ballinger (Dumb Balloon).
